FOREIGN LICENSE VERIFICATION

 

A foreign student licensed by a foreign authority wishing to obtain an FAA certificate in conjunction with a type rating needs to take the following steps BEFORE scheduling his training:

 

Contact the FAA and request to verify your foreign license, a process known as foreign license verification. The following link will take you to the appropriate section of the FAA website:

 

http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/airmen_certification/foreign_license_verification/

 

Ask the FAA to send a copy of the verification letter to the Scottsdale, Arizona FSDO.

 

Once the foreign license verification letter has been received from the FAA, forward a copy to K & S Aviation.
