UPSET PREVENTION AND RECOVERY TRAINING​
OBJECTIVE
Students should understand the factors that may lead to airplane upset, learn proper airplane upset prevention and recovery techniques, and apply these principles while operating transport aircraft.

COURSE COMPLETION STANDARDS
​
​Successful completion of the Jet Upset Recovery Training course will ensure that the trainee will be able to prevent developing upset conditions and ensure correct recovery responses to upsets.​
​
TRAINING
​
Home study: 7 hours minimum computer-based training
Instructor-led ground school: 8 hours
Simulator training: 2 hours per pilot

HIGH ALTITUDE ENDORSEMENT(in conjunction with a type rating only)
OBJECTIVE
The student should gain an understanding of the physiological effects on the human body and the airplane environmental systems with respect to operating large transport turbojet airplanes at high altitude.

COURSE COMPLETION STANDARDS
​
​Successful completion of the High Altitude Endorsement course will ensure that the trainee will be able to deal correctly with environmental systems of large transport turbojet airplanes throughout the aircraft's AFM envelope and ​is dependent on meeting all ACS standards of a type rating test.

TRAINING
​
Home study: 3 hours minimum CBT (in addition to type rating).
​
Note: This training and testing is a requirement for a type rating on B-737/B-757/B-767/A320.
